About the Lead Fund: A "Think and Do" Tank

Meeting the challenges of a new era of civil rights law and policy through
research, learned commentary and analysis for government, education and the
private sector.
The Fund for Leadership, Equity, Access and Diversity (LEAD Fund), a 501 (c)(3)
nonprofit organization, was established in 2011 as a “Think and Do Tank” to
provide thought leadership, research, learned commentary and policy analysis in
promoting inclusive organizations on issues related to equal opportunity, access,
social responsibility, human and civil rights.
Our Mission
In a time where the fundamental tenets of equal opportunity, access and
inclusion, are being challenged, the Fund stands for the commitments embodied
in the civil rights laws and policies enunciated in the U.S. Constitution, the
nation’s civil rights and equal opportunity statutes and related state and local
laws.
Excellence as well as merit comes in all races, colors, genders, religions, national
origins and abilities. It is our commitment to ensure that as the nation becomes
increasingly diverse, everyone who is qualified and able has the chance to
participate in the opportunities that this nation has to offer, without
discrimination or exclusion.
The Mission of the LEAD Fund is to work towards the elimination of barriers and
to promote opportunities that fully and productively integrate the nation’s
increasingly diverse populace into its social, economic and political fabric. This is
not only a matter of social justice in these times; it is a national imperative. To
paraphrase Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., this is the “Fierce Urgency of Now.”
